An introduction to Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) – Program

What is Microsoft CSP?
The Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program offers a flexible licencing model for all providers of cloud solutions and services, and for those who want to become one.
The core of the CSP program are the Microsoft Cloud solutions, which can be combined with the individual services of the CSP resellers and can be offered as an integrated solution.

  • Dynamics 365
  • Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS)
  • Windows 10 Enterprise
  • Microsoft Azure

As a CSP reseller, you can and should create attractive bundles tailored to different customer requirements. These bundles consist of the Microsoft Cloud solutions and your services.
For example, the Office 365 Starter bundle consists of Office 365 and your implementation services, plus support.

The customer purchases the Microsoft Could solution directly from you.
The Microsoft Cloud Agreement is the licence agreement governing the use of Microsoft Cloud solutions. It is signed between Microsoft and the end customer. The terms of use correspond to the other licencing programs. All other terms will be agreed upon between you and the customer because the entire customer relationship is in the hands of the reseller.

This has the advantage that the customer has only one point of contact – from selecting the appropriate offer along with the provision and administration of the online services to support and invoicing.
And you have the full insight into the licences of your customer and are in direct contact with them, so you can quickly and safely identify cross and up-sell potential.

Microsoft offers the CSP program in two stages:

Direct or Indirect.

With the indirect model, you work with a distributor, the so-called CSP t2 indirect provider. This has the advantage that you do not need to make extraordinary investments in an distribution platform and a support organisation. The distributor provides you with both. This allows you to start the Cloud Business and concentrate fully on market entry and sales.
